A funeral with a viewing and cremation has a national median of $6,280. The only price that binds a funeral home in Pennsylvania is the one on its General Price List.
Ask for that list before you choose. Direct cremation must be on it, and the price has to include the basic services fee. Then ask which container is included, and which charges are cash advances, such as the death certificate, an obituary, or a cemetery fee.
